A couple of pieces on Scott McClellan's departure:

Still no word on a replacement. Say, is Baghdad Bob available? You remember
Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf? He has the same credibility, but is funnier--and
cuter.

They got Joel Kaplan, one of the notorious Brooks Brothers
rioters from 2,000, to replace Karl Rove, so maybe they can
dredge up another criminal to replace McClellan.

I don't think they are actually replacing Rove in any meaningful sense. They
are just putting him under a different shell in that shell game. Here's a
Daily Show clip featuring the Rove shuffle:

The funniest jokes about McClellan were probably in this one:

I think the best part is "every housecleaing begins by changing the
doormat," which really describes McClellan's service to Dubya. Annoyingly,
when they are talking about the detox part, the BS (expanded) is bleeped
out.

One more thought about this topic as it fades from the news cycle. Actually,
a number of the comments have focused precisely on the historical
insignificance of McClellan, in spite of his being the most public face of
Dubya's administration for a brief while.

The thought relates to Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, AKA Baghdad Bob. The
silliness of his lies was rather amusing, even at the time, and even more
amusing in retrospect. Or perhaps less amusing, considering a bit more
deeply and remembering that even several years after his 'silly'
pronouncements the road to the Baghdad airport remains a dangerous place and
less than fully secured...

However, the more important point is the question of motivations. He was
lying because Saddam Hussein was a vicious dictator and would probably kill
him if he didn't lie as well as he could. But why did Scott McClellan become
such a flagrant and silly liar? After all, the only real reason to replace
him is simply because his personal credibility was exhausted. McClellan
apparently did the work just for money and personal advantages. I don't
think he's stupid enough that he didn't realize he was being used like a
doormat, only with less dignity.

That's doubtful. Hitler's propaganda machine is still covered in
the history books as will this fascist regimes'. Iraq's pathetic
attempts at propaganda will almost certainly not be considered
worthy of discussion.

Turd Blossom Karl Rove

The less government conservatives support Karl Rove and Bush with NOW
political activities and travels around the country raising money for
upcoming Congressional campaigns. It is a very convenient career, so
long as you can get away with it. The self-described conservatives in
the White House.

Will we hear Broke back protégées cowboy no talent hack Andy Lee from
Springfield Illinois WMAY Radio's Molson and Lee Show.

The White House is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act

Do Bush followers have a political ideology? "Now, in order to be
considered a "liberal," only one thing is required - a failure to
pledge blind loyalty to George W. Bush."
